All those who remember the exciting Sex & Sexuality thread, now closed, will never forget that Buddhism & Sexuality is a tricky subject!
As with all subjects that discuss fundemental human experience -- subjects we might justifiably term "radical" -- everyone has an experience which means everyone has a valid response. Expression of any experience is extremely difficult to most people; expression of experience as non-verbal as sex and sexuality is surely a test for the greatest artists.
So there will be clashes, as other fundemental ideas and concepts are drawn upon and questioned.
For my own part, I am of the view that all concepts are open to question, for which the tools of meditations are best employed.
I do like quotes from the sutras, and find there the ultimate authority in Buddhism. Second up are His Holiness The Dalai Lama, Bodhidharma, Lin-chi, Bankei, Hakuin, Watts, Kapleau ... John Coltrane...
