Dear Linda
First and foremost, thanx for your friendship and your interest in Yogi. He touched our hearts so fast. Within 3 days he was sick with Parvo. We nursed him and the Vet gave him all the care possible. It was such a touching experience to bond so closely with a little puppy. I felt any strength I could give him would come back to me hundred fold. Perhaps it might!! Eventually his breathing became very labored and I could tell he was suffering and made a decision to let him give up his body and transcend to a better place. I held him in my arms as he gave his last breath. It touched me deeply.
We were torn as to whether we should get another puppy or not. There was very high risk the virus would be in our garden and home for up to 6 months. It turned out that one of Yogi's brothers had survived Parvo, had immunity built up and was available. So now we have Tashi in our hearts and home and the Spirit of Yogi lives on. I think Tashi's photo is above. Sorry for such a long story.
Yes. Bohinj is beautiful indeed, beautiful are also Triglav lakes (in mountains). But Slovenia is full of places that need to be discovered: they are simply not exposed for mass turism. Mountains, rivers, medieval carsic villages...I'll stop here in order not to talk like turistic-economic propaganda...
Kai, thank you for your warm words. Facebook has brought to me a lot of inspiration, it reminds me just how many kind and loving people there are in the world, and it is a pleasure to include you in my group of friends. I asked the universe to send to me people who inspire me with their kindness, and I only have to look on my site to remember the power of positive thought.
I live in England, and attend my local Sri Lankan Buddhist centre. I enjoy meeting new people and gaining new ideas and thoughts. I support humanitarian causes when possible and have found this to be a life changing experience
Main occupation:
